1. What is your favourite Christmas food?
Gingerbread! Baked Ham! Fresh prawns! (This is making me sad as next year I’m going to attempt vegetarianism… I’ll have to find a new favourite Christmas food!)
2. What is your favourite Christmas movie?
That’s easy… “Love Actually”!
3. Your favourite Christmas drink?
I do enjoy an egg-nog! However something a bit more summery like Sangria is always a fave xx
4. Your favourite Christmas song?
“Santa Clause Is Coming To Town”!!
5. Is there something you love to do every Christmas?
I like to spend a whole day baking, and then I drive around to all of my favourite wedding supplier friends and deliver baked goods! It’s a lovely way to say thank you for their support throughout the year and I always feel like such a saint afterwards!
6. How do you Deck the Halls? What is your favourite Christmas decoration?
Nothing beats twinkling fairy lights in my mind! A string of them along the verandah and of course around the tree! This year we bought a cute vintage pot belly stove so I’m looking forward to hanging a stocking on the chimney flu too!
7. Do you have any Christmas family traditions?
When I was younger, my sisters and I called ourselves the Christmas Tree Bandits and late at night we’d go out with Dad and chop down a tree by the light of the moon! Haha!! ( We’d spend the months leading up to Christmas eyeing off all the trees up along our road.. don’t worry we lived in the country!) We’d tie it onto the car and bring it home for our Christmas tree!! They were never the most perfect looking Christmas trees, but were so fun to get!
8. Do you have a favourite shop that you visit at Christmas time?
Hmmm not really, although I do love seeing all the beautiful Christmas gifts at the Kuranga Native Nursery in Mount Evelyn.
9. Do you bake at Christmas time? If yes, what are your favourite things to bake? Would you share the recipe?
I like to always try something new!! Last year I made gingerbread stars, the year before I attempted reindeer cupcakes with pretzel horns!!
10. Where will you be spending Christmas this year?
With my family!! Both my sister and brother recently bought new homes so we’ll probably head there and christen their new homes with Christmas joy!
11.Where does Santa leave presents in your house?
Under the tree, and then a small gift in the stocking!
12. What do you leave out for Santa on Christmas Eve?
I think he’ll feel a bit bad eating a reindeer cupcake? haha.. Will have to think of something more Santa friendly this year.
