Choosing your wedding decor just got a whole lot easier with the decor options available at My Wedding Decor. Choose a theme which most resonates with the way you live, or decorate your house, and find it in amongst the 11 themes available on the site. From retro and vintage, seaside and handmade through to the more unusual such as steam punk and geek, Elizabeth has your wedding decor items covered.

We asked Elizabeth of My Wedding Decor five questions in five minutes:

What is your favourite after five drink?

It’s a three-way tie between a soft merlot, a tangy gin & tonic or a jug of sangria!

Your favourite weekend getaway?

I love the gorgeous Mornington Peninsula in Victoria with its stunning beaches and gorgeous vineyards.

Favourite restaurant?

The Meat & Wine Co in Southbank, Melbourne (my husband and I had our first date there).

Where can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?

Cerebus BeachHouse at Black Rock in bayside Melbourne.

Your favourite wedding story?

I met my English husband Andrew on a plane flying to London in April 2011, using a date and time I’d picked using astrology to “meet someone who would change my life”. Well he was sitting in front of me on the plane and as soon as I saw him, I had this weird sense I had met him before.

He proposed in January 2013 the day the builder was starting our house renovation and I used astrology again to choose our wedding date and time, a Wednesday in October at lunchtime. The mid-week date and time meant we could book out Aqua Dining in Sydney for our wedding when we went to check it out just seven months before our wedding date.

We decided on a travel-theme for our wedding, and I organised wedding invitations which looked like boarding passes, a cupcake wedding cake with a map of the world and a toy plane on top, and table names with our favourite locations. I had such a fun time organising my own wedding I decided to create My Wedding Decor so other brides could find themed decorations for their wedding, too.
