We asked Fiona of Peter Rowland Catering five questions in five minutes:

What is your favourite after five drink?

I do love a Bacardi and lemonade with fresh lime but my after five special is definitely a glass of bubbles, preferably Mumm or Veuve.

Your favourite weekend getaway?

The surf coast or Yarra Valley. Lots of sun, wine and down time.

Favourite restaurant?

The Dumpling King for the most delicious juicy dumplings or Blossom Thai for an authentic green chicken curry.

What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?

Irrewarra sourdough with mashed avocado, bacon and creamy scrambled eggs. Yumm!!!

Your favourite wedding story?

I was looking after a couple many years ago who were the most down to earth beautiful people, they were so in love. They were having their ceremony onsite at the reception venue and I could tell the groom was exceptionally nervous when he arrived with his groomsmen. I gave them all a drink to take the edge off but not too long before the bride arrived, the groom began crying. He did his best to hide his tears but when his mum went to his aid, he became even more emotional. I was so worried, as were the groom’s family, that he wanted to call off the wedding and many a concerned glances were exchanged. Luckily, we couldn’t have been more wrong. The groom was just so overcome with emotion, he couldn’t hold it in any more. There were a welled up eyes from everyone during the actual ceremony but it was beautiful and definitely a wedding I’ll always remember.
