Koh Nang Yuan
Easily accessible from Koh Tao, this island is definitely worth the day trip. The beauty of the island is unlike anything you’ve ever seen – turquoise waters, white beaches, and the greenery of the island. It’s incredibly breathtaking. Here you can either spend the day on the beach or go for a dive with Crystal Dive. Enjoy the relaxation!

Chumphon Pinnacle
This is Koh Tao’s ultimate dive site. If you choose to go diving anywhere on the island, make sure it’s here! If you’re lucky, you’re sure to come across whalesharks, but if not there are still plenty of other marine life to spend your time with. Consider a diving service like Master Divers and get started!

Ao Leuk Bay
This is a lovely spot to spend your day either snorkelling, swimming, or sunning yourselves on the white sand of the beach. Take some time to explore the reefs and the colours that live there and then grab something to eat from any number of cafes and restaurants that dot the edges of the beach.

Thian Og Bay
Known best as ‘Shark Bay,’ this private beach is home to reef sharks that frequent the waters – don’t worry though, they aren’t dangerous! But if you’d prefer to steer clear, stay at the beach and relax in the shallows. This little part of the island had its last resort close in 2007, so it’s completely open to visitors looking for a private escape from the bustle of the island.

Sairee and Sunsets
The Sairee Beach is Koh Tao’s longest and most popular beach. Although there are plenty more beaches in Koh Tao to explore (all equally gorgeous), there’s nothing quite like watching the sunset from Sairee. Rent a boat or hop on a tour service, like Samui Boat Charter and watch the sunset from the water. Or bring your bathers and go for a swim, all the while admiring how much more beautiful the island becomes at sunset. If you prefer, there are restaurants and cafes nearby to grab a bite at too!

Diving
If you’re in Koh Tao, don’t let the opportunity to get up and close with its marine life get away! Underneath the surface is a whole new world – complete with sea turtles! Hiking
From any part of the island you’re sure to be absolutely blown away by the beauty of Koh Tao, but it’s nothing like it is from up high. Go for a hike to visit places like Mao Bay and Mae Head which all have amazing panoramic views. Pack a picnic and a bottle of wine (and make sure you’re prepared for the climb!) and watch the sunset with an elevated view.
