Today’s inspiration shoot was dreamt up by the dynamic duo Peppermint Photography and makeup artist Elizabeth Crossley one morning over breakfast, and we have to say, we think these two should have creative breakfast dates more often! The shoot was inspired by photographs of Paris during the 1940’s, and was also heavily influenced by French poetry and the breathtaking Parisian architecture. They teamed up with Wild at Heart who created the vibrant, elegant rose bouquet, and chose the decadently beaded Gwendolynne gown to adorn their model. The results are simply heavenly – we just adore this striking Parisian inspired bridal shoot.

Amanda from Peppermint Photography explains, “Most of the images taken around this time (the 1940’s) were taken in the mist or rain, with sharp clean lines of the city and the bridges piercing through curtains of grey. The focus for us was definitely on the Parisian charm.”

“For this shoot we decided to focus on the gown and opted out of any centrepieces and tablescapes,” Amanda tells. “We chose the art deco Polly gown by Gwendolynne, with its stunning, beading inspired by old worldly architecture, which fit this concept perfectly. The red rose bouquet was fitting in that it created that classically beautiful, ethereal look we were after.”

The look that makeup artist Elizabeth Crossley created for their model was a moody, mysterious glamour, with a deep, plum lipstick, and a simple, slicked back hairstyle that was elegant, yet understated – the overall look complimenting the gown and bouquet perfectly.
