Jennifer & Scott

A feast amongst the vines to celebrate a wedding sounds like the most wonderful way to spend a day and that is exactly how Jennifer & Scott chose to celebrate their relaxed winery lunch day captured by Elisha Ross.

Jennifer tells the story of how the pair came to meet. “We were set up by mutual friends. We all met at a bar one night for casual drinks and we clicked straight away. There was an instant attraction when Scott ordered exactly the same Vodka I did! We are so happy our friends helped us find each other. They are a good judge of character.”

The bride chose a lace gown by Mori Lee featuring an illusion neckline. She tells “I already had a particular style in mind and a friend of mine suggested I look at dresses by Mori Lee. We found a local supplier and fell in love with the first dress I tried on. And it seemed to fit like it was made for me.”

Stones of the Yarra Valley was the most beautiful choice for the lunch time celebration. Jennifer remarking “We have always loved the Yarra Valley, and Stones was by far a standout venue for us. The Stables was the perfect size for our intimate wedding and having the chapel on site was a great convenience for us. The food was amazing and the staff were really nice.”

The bride was walked down the aisle by her new parents in law, explaining “We chose Poeme – Secret Garden. it’s such a beautiful song. Scott’s parents walked me down the aisle as my parents live overseas and were unable to make it.”

Jenny Georgiadis  officiated the ceremony, the bride noting “We were both a little nervous standing in front of the crowd but our celebrant threw in a few jokes to break the ice. My bridesmaid got really emotional so I gave her a big hug! It made the experience so much more emotional. The Chapel is a lovely, light-filled space. It was just perfect!”

“We tried to involve as many friends and family we could, to make it special for them too. Scott’s brother played some beautiful songs before and after the ceremony on his guitar.”

Of their photographer, Jennifer tells “We are so happy with her photos (and Simon her partner and second shooter), they are both such a pleasure to work with. You can tell by her photographs that she is a very passionate photographer. We’re not used having our photos taken, but as a team, Elisha and Simon made the process so easy and comfortable. Elisha has a relaxed and calm nature, so we had a lot of fun on the day with her and Simon. She captured our day perfectly with photos that don’t look posed or unnatural… Actually, I think the best way to describe the portraits is relaxed. Can I say again we are so happy with them all? We would highly recommend her again and again.”

Of her favourite photo of the day, the bride says ” I have many favourites including the the boys doing the Toyota “Oh what a feeling!” jump. The black and white shot of me walking down the aisle is just gorgeous. I also love the photo Elisha took from outside through the window when I’m applying my make up. The overall collection tells a complete story of our day. We are over the moon with the outcome.”

The wedding party was small but very special, the bride explaining “I had my closest friends as my bridesmaids. Scott chose his brother and a great mate. They really stepped up to the plate and kept things organised for us on the day. We didn’t have to worry about anything.”

Guests celebrated in the stables with a sit-down luncheon, Jennifer remarking ” All of our vendors were all really great to deal with and very professional. Stones is a really lovely venue and the staff there made us feel welcome and were so helpful. The food was amazing! The flowers arrangements were stunning! And once again Elisha Ross Photography really captured our day to a tee.”

Congratulations on your marriage Jennifer & Scott! Thank you for sharing your wedding day with us. Thank you also to Elisha Ross for sharing today’s celebration!
