Happy Monday Dotties! The Winter blues are certainly not on my radar this week – I am well and truly getting into the swing of the grey days and loving every minute!

How do you narrow down your list of possible vendors for your wedding day? Work out some criteria that are important to you. Does their work touch you in some way? Do you love what they do at first glance? Do you think you can work with them? Just a few of the many questions you might consider! Take a look at Ms Polka Dot’s Directory – we have so many wedding vendors who are talented in their field and will help you plan your dream day. We have Bridal Gowns, we have Celebrants, we have Cakes and Master of Ceremonies – we even have Wedding Planners and Menswear! Our wedding vendors are a talented bunch who are standing by to assist you.

Check out Ms Polka Dot’s Directory for wedding vendors who will love your wedding as much as you!

Chris and Jess of The Storytellers are a father and daughter team who are all about telling the story of your wedding in intimate and evocative moments, bathed in glorious light. Sometimes it’s the seemingly small moments that are so easily forgotten and seeing those moments in images tell the story of your day in unexpected and beautiful ways.

We asked Chris and Jess of The Storytellers five questions in five minutes:

What is your favourite after five drink?

Chris: Schweppes snow cap cream soda – no longer made 🙁
Jess: Nothing beats a good old fashioned strawberry milkshake! And who wants to wait until after five for their favourite drink – this one’s a lunch time treat!

Your favourite weekend getaway?

Chris: Hyatt Canberra.
Jess: The Southern Highlands or the Hunter Valley. Anywhere really that is an escape from the hustle and bustle of Sydney life, where you can truly unwind, enjoy the quiet and breathe in the fresh country air.

Favourite restaurant?

Chris: Exeter General Store.
Jess: Doyles on the Beach, Watsons Bay. This restaurant holds a very special place in my heart. When my sister and I were young, our parents would take us to Doyles once a year on special occasions, birthdays mostly. So growing up, going to Doyles was always something we really looked forward to. Many years later, it was the same spot that my now husband proposed. I may be biased, but I also think it has the best sunset views in Sydney (ask to sit on the balcony – you won’t be disappointed)!

What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?

Chris: Dipping mini chipolatas in sunny side up eggs!
Jess: I like to keep it simple in the mornings – scrambled eggs on toast is a go to classic.

Your favourite wedding story?

Chris: When I got married to my beautiful bride 🙂
Jess: I think I’m with Dad on this one. We have had the privilege of photographing so many beautiful and heartwarming weddings over the years (a bride walking down the aisle to meet her groom still gets me every time!), but nothing can quite match your own wedding story. What I would give to relieve our wedding day over again…
