Happy Monday Dotties! We had a gorgeous taste or Spring in the last few days and it has been so lovely seeing the buzz from our vendor family about the Spring season ahead!
Choosing your vendors is the exciting part of your wedding planning. Poring over, and deciding who to choose for the very important tasks of the wedding day, you’ll see so many different styles. Whose work do you feel a connection with? It can be a simple as that. Check out Ms Polka Dot’s Directory for vendors who will help you create a day that is as meaningful as it can be. We have Menswear, we have Entertainment, we have Flowers and Cakes – we even have Catering and Bridal Gown Services! Our wonderful vendors are ready to step up and work with you to plan the best possible day for you.

Based on the Sunshine Coast Alan Hughes Photograhy is all about the natural moments that occur throughout your wedding day, which he so deftly catches with his camera, when you didn’t think he was looking. Beautiful scenery and the light of the sun or shining from buildings gives the shots a sense of place and time. And after 10 years of photographing weddings, Alan considers himself to be “the luckiest guy in the world!”
We asked Alan of Alan Hughes Photography five questions in five minutes:
What is your reward after a big working day?
It depends! It could be a packet of choc digestive biscuits (dark choc only!) – if I’m on a health kick it’s a punnet of fresh raspberries 🙂
Favourite weekend getaway?
Lamington National Park with the family for the fresh air and nature walks 🙂
What is your most prized possession?
Apart from my camera gear, you mean? Then it would have to be my new puppy – a mini Schnauzer called Luna!
The Tandoori Palace in Queenstown (NZ) – some good mems there with my family too as well as the best curry…
What do you most enjoy about being in the wedding industry?
Meeting great people – my bride and grooms are all awesome people who love my work (and thereby are lovely people before they even say hello!).
