We love all kinds of wedding inspiration here at Polka Dot Bride and when this day of vibrant Indian fusion wedding inspiration landed, I couldn’t help but get excited.

As a lover of colour, I am always in awe of the beautiful use of colour at Indian weddings and this shoot leaves nothing behind – from vibrant yellows. hot pinks, to gorgeous reds. Using the fabulous Panama Dining Room as their backdrop, photographer  Neiyo Sun, with cinematographers Red Ram Productions and For You Wedding Films set about capturing this wonderful play of imagination created and planned by  The Maharani Diaries (and kindly assisted by B+Co Theming + Design).

I envisaged a bold take on a traditional Indian wedding full of fun, fresh and contemporary elements. Together with my fabulous team of local and international wedding pros, we created a vibrant setting fit for the modern Maharani bride and maharajah groom!”

With the urban backdrop as the blank canvas, Poonam worked with floral designer Foxy Evergreen to create a stunning overgrown floral backdrop of foliage and carnations, dahlias and roses in vibrant traditional hues. The reception styling complementing the look with the addition of hand designed stationery by Ratanji Rani  with hand drawn flowers (commissioned by Vanika Mistry) the finishing touch,

And of course what’s a wedding without dessert?  Taylor Made Gourmet whipping up a sweet semi-naked wedding cake, colourful macarons, and brightly iced doughnuts.

Our bride and groom, with their own take on the modern fusion style. the bride with her vivid yellow bodice created by Kam Azfar and traditional skirt designed by  Patine from By Elora. Bold black and gold earrings from Simran Chhabra finished the look
