Rachel Gilbert’s Autumn Winter 2012 collection is a feast for the eyes and the senses. From sparkling, glittery adornments to fresh hues of navy, tangerine and melon greens.

There’s plenty of beautiful options for the bride who is a wanting a little more casual kind of wedding gown and the bridesmaids who want to wear something super stylish. I think the gorgeous Isadora gown (above) might just be my favourite with the sparkles that glitter and gleam as you move.

Rachel’s coloured gowns make a fine choice for bridesmaids (or the bride who wants to wear colour, the tangerine number above would make such a gorgeous statement!)

Sometimes, a set of photos  lands in my inbox that is unlike anything a bride or groom might do. It’s not something that you can translate into your own wedding day, but it’s just so darn beautiful that you can’t help but feel inspired! I felt this way about the stunning shots from this latest artistic shoot from Sarah Wood – too much fun to pass up and just a sweet little treat to share with you!

Sarah collaborated with Sarah Wilkinson from Sinikka Floral Design on a chilly Melbourne day, Sarah put her wedding dress on (she eloped with her husband 18 months ago) and braved the icy cold water for a crazy and beautiful idea.

Sarah says “I love weddings, brides, flowers, water, the colours blue & white, and photography!……so this was  a natural progression and culmination of all those passions. Over time, I have slowly managed to find the right location, willing participant and assistant ( to relay my rapid messages and instructions back to Sarah, the bride).  She was underwater for 27 minutes. It was only when I went to talk to her on the surface that I saw how chilly she was….but still smiling away!”

For the bride that is wanting a classic look to her wedding day, the Legends by Romona Keveza collection is nothing short of pure, classic elegance. The diffusion line of designer Romona Keveza embodies the grace and elegance of style icons such as Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn. The classic shapes and silhouettes are designed with rich, beautiful fabrics in mind and accessoried with jeweled belts, lace edged veils and sweet feminine details.

While the collection is yet to be stocked in Australia, I thought the gowns would inspired the brides who are wanting traditional. beautiful wedding gowns and an old time elegance bridal look.

I get seriously excited when I get the chance to show off a new bridal designer, it’s like being a kid in a candy store! So many beautiful things to look at, so many designs to get inspired by! Melbourne based designers Arpie and Maral popped up on my radar last year and I was delighted to hear from them recently.

With a clean, structured designed sense, the girls take inspiration from the finest fabrics and embroidery techniques to create unique gowns tailored to each bride’s style and sensibilities. I love the solid beauty of the fabrics they’ve chosen in this collection, they look clean and sophisticated but still lend themselves to unexpected beading and detailing to take the gown from something plain to something really customised and beautiful.

Each gown is custom made for it’s wearer with a four step process- including five fittings to ensure your gown fits like a glove.

The Arpie & Maral girls don’t just make gowns either, with their techniques in french beading they’ve designed their own range of beautiful veils, hairbands, hair flowers and jewels. Made using Swarovski crystals, the hair accessories range is available to purchase through Arpie and Maral’s online store.

Heading straight into the wedding inspiration today (I have itchy feet!) is this gorgeous garden bridal fashion shoot from the girls at Studio White. Taking their gorgeous stock of Ivy & Aster and Elizabeth Dye gowns along, the girls worked with a collaborative team to showcase their latest gowns and create beautiful garden inspiration for brides to be!

Taking place at Woolmers Estate, in Tasmania the Studio White girls teamed up with  Cheese House Production ,Designer Bride and appleblossomweddings for a beautiful shoot filled with the most gorgeous Spring time feel!
