Unusual Boutonnière
by Polkadot Bride
Earlier today, Melbourne florist Kate Hill told us all we need to know on boutonnière. (See her interview here)
However, if you’re not the flower type. Here’s some fun ideas!

I love the idea of using a feather, especially if the bride is carrying a feather bouquet.
Then of course, there is Etsy. Full of unique creations!

You can of course use different things. I’ve seen beautiful raw edged silk flowers in fabrics of the bridesmaids gowns, coral and seashells for a beach side wedding, rust coloured leaves in autumn, herbs at a garden wedding bound with ribbon, wheat at a farm wedding. The only limit is your imagination!

Oh clever! I love the peacock feather, especially if that theme or color was carried out through the wedding!
I love that peacock feather bout! Can’t wait to find a groom to use that idea on!
That peacock feather is a brilliant idea -love it (and your blog!)
My husband wore a moss gathering cut into the shape of a heart with a bit of kangaroo paw on it. Not flowery at all, and he really loved it. It’s aged well, too-we’ve been married almost 6 months now and it still looks perfect!
My husband had a peacock feather and 1 white rose in his bout, it was so neat and unique. My bouquest was white roses and a dozen peacock feathers, I loved it all!
I love the first one….totally unique and unexpected, love that!
