Derby Day Delights
by Polkadot Bride
To honour Derby Day and the thousands of race goers out at Flemington today I thought it was only right to kick off race week with an inspiration board.
Traditional derby day dress is black and white with a cornflower in the lapel. So today’s board is black, white and cornflower blue.
Wallpaper from Ferm Living, gown from Martha Stewart, Invitation from Bella Figura, cake from Planet Cake, tableware from brides.com, bouquet from The Knot, bridesmaids from The Knot, groomsmen from Bride To Be, Seating cards from Martha Stewart.

Love the seating cards in variations of blue. Monochromatic color schemes are super chic!
Do you know where on the Knot the photo of the pomanders is from? I’m looking for pomander inspiration- and searched the Knot for the photo and cannot find it.

Oh! and the photo is by Marie Labbancz http://www.artoflove.com
thank you!
Cornflower blue is a great color even though it seems not as popular as other colors like aqua. Luv it!
I adore that white dress that fades to blue! So chic! That color is so beautiful! I adore that cake with the graduated color! So fabulous!
I think a subtle touch of color in any classic white wedding dress can tie almost everything in when it comes to color schemes. Im in love!
gorgeous board!
You know I’m a sucker for cornflower blue! GAWJUS!!
