Polka Dot Bride loves to receive real wedding submissions to showcase on the blog. You can see the previous real weddings we have published here.

How do I submit a wedding to Polka Dot Bride?

Simply email the following to submit (at) polkadotbride.com (remove the brackets and spaces)

• Between 10-20 (only) of your favourite wedding day photos in web quality
• The newlyweds’ names
• Your role in the wedding (Are you the photographer? wedding planner? bride?)
• Where the wedding was held
• The photographers name and website
• Any special details about the wedding!
• The details of your vendors (from dress designers to florists!)

Please do not send us large files unless you send them via a file sharing service such as YouSendIt (please zip your files first). Alternatively if you would like to send us a disc of images instead, please send it to Polka Dot Bride, PO  Box 1404, Darling, VIC 3145. Please ensure you send single images- not composites, so we cna format them in line with the rest of our site.

Polka Dot Bride is an Australian wedding blog not just about details, not just about bouquets and table settings – but about joy. We want to showcase entire weddings – from the moment the couple start getting ready, to the most important part of the day (the ceremony!) to that silent moment where the newlyweds get lost in each others arms on the dance floor. We love weddings that are full to the brim with joy, with warmth, with love. No matter the budget, size or location. We love celebrations that are authentic, that allow the couple to shine – to us, every wedding is perfect.

We love detail shots – we love them because our readers find inspiration in them. (But we love candid shots too so don’t leave those out!), the tender moments, the unexpected looks, the warm hugs, silent tears, twirling skirts and belly aching laughter. The photos that make you forget you’re looking at a photo, instead you’re there in the moment, wanting to dance, wanting to cry, wanting to drink a margarita and toast to the newlyweds.

So on that note, please ensure at least one of your newlyweds is easily contactable and wants to be blogged! Should the wedding be a fit for us, we will forward you a questionnaire because we want to know the thought behind the details of the day, the special moments, the things that went wrong and the memories that are forever etched in their minds. Please be aware we may take a little time to respond to your email- don’t stress! We will respond! (Even if we’re up until midnight on a Saturday night tapping away at that keyboard..it’s happened!)

We showcase all kinds of shoots on Polka Dot Bride – engagements, bridal portraits, ‘just for fun’ inspiration shoots, but we love weddings the most.

We also showcase weddings from all over the world. We’re Australian and love the easy, relaxed nature Aussies show on their wedding days, but we think the world does a pretty good job of marrying in general!

Our readers read a lot of international wedding blogs and magazines and so we do give priority to weddings which have not been shown elsewhere.  We do understand this is not always possible, so do shoot us an email if you have any questions!

Important Points- In Bullets!

- Please send large files via CD, DVD or a file sharing service. If using a file sharing service please ensure your files are zipped up before uploading

- Please ensure your couple is contactable and aware you have submitted their wedding, we always contact our featured couples for more information!

- Please send images individually and not as composites- we have a certain way of editing and will have to slice your compositions otherwise!

- Please include detail shots, special moments and couple shots in your selection

- Please be patient! Sometimes it takes us a little while to respond to your submission or find the perfect spot to showcase your work.

- Please only submit to one place at one time- chase us up if we don’t respond! It’s difficult to pull down a wedding at the last minute because another publication has requested exclusivity.

- On that note, we do request exclusivity for the weddings we publish. Priority is given to weddings & shoots not published elsewhere.
