Polka Dot Bride is always happy to receive editorial submissions relating to weddings. Please note we are based in Australia and products must be available to Australian readers.

Real Wedding, Engagement and Inspiration Shoot Submissions
Polka Dot Bride loves to receive real wedding submissions, engagement sessions, inspiration shoots and more to showcase on the blog. You can see the previous real weddings we have published here.
How do I submit a wedding to Polka Dot Bride?
Simply email the following to submit (at) polkadotbride.com (remove the brackets and spaces)
- Between 10-20 of your favourite wedding day photos in web quality (including details, ceremony, couple, reception)
- The newlyweds’ names
- Your role in the wedding (Are you the photographer? wedding planner? bride?)
- Where the wedding was held
- The photographers name and website
- Any special details about the wedding!
- The basic details of your vendors (from dress designers to florists!)
Will you respond to let me know if my submission is rejected or accepted?
I (Ms Polka Dot) personally respond to every single submission we receive. Please await our response before submitting to other publications. We generally respond within a week but during busy periods this can longer. Please follow me up if I haven’t responded!
What happens next?
If we are interested in featuring your real wedding, engagement or inspiration shoot on Polka Dot Bride we will reply asking for more information- this generally includes a questionnaire that we ask you forward to the bride or groom to fill out and additional photos.
What if my couple doesn’t want to answer questions?
Polka Dot Bride focuses heavily on the stories, the memories and the moments of the wedding day and therefore if the couple aren’t willing to fill out information on the day, we aren’t able to feature the wedding.
Will you let me know when the submission will be featured?
We let every real wedding and engagement shoot know the date that we have scheduled to publish the submission and will let you know this as soon as we have received all the information (photos, questions etc)
If we’re interested in featuring the wedding (or shoot), we will respond to you with a longer questionnaire for the couple to fill out, at this time we will also request more photos.
How do I send you large files?
Please don’t send us large files via email (our email account suffers!) If you have many large images you need to get to us, we prefer these sent via YouSendIt. Please ensure your files are zipped into one file before uploading.
Can I send composite images? What about watermarks?
As we have our own way of telling the wedding stories, we ask that you only provide us with single images.
To maintain the quality and look of Polka Dot Bride we are unable to accept watermarks on photography submissions. Minor watermarks may be accepted, if in doubt please contact us.
Does it matter if the wedding has been published elsewhere?
In most cases yes. This doesn’t include your own blog! We like to provide our readers with fresh content but we also like to honour our fellow publications and the work that they do in publishing and finding weddings so we prefer not to feature weddings and shoots that have been featured elsewhere.
The wedding/engagement/shoot isn’t Australian, can I submit anyway?
We believe in inspiring our readers with inspiration from all over the world, so while the focus of our content is Australian we love to feature shoots and weddings produced internationally.
But what is it you are looking for?
Put simply- I am looking to publish weddings that make me feel something.
Polka Dot Bride is an Australian wedding blog not just about details, not just about bouquets and table settings – but about joy. We want to showcase the story of the wedding – from the moment the couple start getting ready, to the most important part of the day (the ceremony!) to that silent moment where the newlyweds get lost in each others arms on the dance floor. We love weddings that are full to the brim with joy, with warmth, with love. No matter the budget, size or location. We love celebrations that are authentic, that allow the couple to shine – to us, every wedding is perfect.
We love detail shots – we love them because our readers find inspiration in them. But we love candid shots, the tender moments, the unexpected looks, the warm hugs, silent tears, twirling skirts and belly aching laughter. The photos that make you forget you’re looking at a photo, instead you’re there in the moment, wanting to dance, wanting to cry, wanting to drink a margarita and toast to the newlyweds.
