Today I am so excited to announce a very very big competition!

I recently wrote about the brand new designs coming out of this family owned company- the family who brought Henry Roth (Henry Weinreich is the mentor on Australia’s own Project Runway!) and Michelle Roth to the world!

Now they’re back, designing a fresh new range for Henri Josef and they’re partnering with Polka Dot Bride to give away one of their gorgeous wedding gowns to one lucky Australian bride to be!

What’s The Prize?

A gorgeous wedding dress by Henri Josef. A strapless gown with a lightly embellished bodice with Swarovski and fresh water pearls cinches in waist and flows out to a soft taffeta skirt with tulle inlay and soft back sweep. Deliciously divine! The dress comes in White, Ivory, Gold and in sizes 2-30. The gown is valued at $AU1400 and will be in your choice of White/White, Ivory/Ivory or Gold.

How Do I Enter?

This competition is all about inspiration boards! Inspiration boards are one of my favourite things in the wedding world. You can pull together every element of a fabulous wedding to create a real feel for the event. Check out any wedding blog and you’ll see plenty of these- you can check out previous Polka Dot Bride boards here.

To win the dress you must create an inspiration board around the gown. Rustic or formal, country or city it’s up to you! If you’re not an inspiration board kind of girl, we’re also going to accept ‘written’ versions. Describe the setting of the wedding, tell us the mood- tell us a story! Your entry must be emailed to win@polkadotbride.com by 12am Australian Eastern Standard Time, Monday the 2nd of June 2008

Once the close date has passed, Polka Dot Bride readers will be asked to vote on their favourite entry. The three entries with the highest votes will be passed onto Henry Weinreich who will choose the winner!

How Do I Make An Inspiration Board?

You can make a board using any graphics program like Photoshop or Paintshop. A very easy way is to use an online tool called Mosaic Maker where you can upload your pics and create a simple but effective board. Otherwise there is a fantabulous tutorial written by Mrs Lemon at Weddingbee using Photoshop, a collage creator over at flickr tools and an easy drag and drop board creator at Polyvore

Here are your images to play with. Your board or story does not have to include all the images. It does also not have to incorporate orange flowers as seen with the model. Please credit all sources (I.e instead of ‘Google images’ try and find the exact source) and link to them. If in doubt, it’s best to leave it out!

So here’s the gorgeous dress that is up for grabs! (and the images you can use- the board must contain at least one of these!) You can also see the gown on the Henri Josef website.

Who Can Enter?

Entry is open to all Australian residents aged 18 or over. International entries will be accepted however they will not be eligible for the prize.

What Are The Conditions?

Information on how to enter and prize forms part of these conditions of entry.

The competition is open to Australian residents. Employees of Polka Dot Bride and Henri Josef are not permitted to enter.

The competition will commence 5th of May, 2008. Entries close 12am Australian EST on 2nd of June, 208 This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry will be individually judged based on literary and creative merit. Judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

The prize is valid for 12 months from the date of winners announcement and will be the size of the closest measurements on the Henri Josef size chart. The size will be determined through bust, hip and waist measurements.

This prize does not include alterations.

Henri Josef will make direct contact with the winner upon the announcement. The prize includes shipping and insurance within Australia.

The prize is not transferable and can not be substituted for any other Henri Josef product.

The prize must be claimed within 12 months of initial contact by Henri Josef Australia. If no contact is made within 12 months, the prize will become null and void.

No responsibility is accepted for any variation in the value of the prize.

The best entry, as determined by the judges, will win Henri Josef dress design 21589 The prize is valued at $1400.00 Unless otherwise stipulated, all other costs that are associated with redeeming the prize are the responsibility of the winner.
