RIP Yves Saint Laurent

Fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent passed away today in Paris aged 71.

Said by many to be the greatest fashion designer of the 20th century, he was born Yves Henri Donat Mathieu-Saint-Laurent, in Oran, Algeria, on August 1, 1936. His last collection was shown in 2002.

He is said to be the last of the group of designers who made Paris the fashion capital of the world- designers including Coco Chanel and Christian Dior.
