Birds Suddenly Appear..On Cakes

I adore this sweet handmade bird cake topper from etsy seller Middleburg. Perfect for a spring wedding, or to fit in with the lovely vintage bird theme that’s becoming popular.

The cake topper would work beautifully on a simple cake like this from Martha Stewart. Perhaps accompanied by matching blue ribbon or bunches of sweet flower buds.

Or add a whimsical touch to a more elaborate design like this (also from Martha Stewart). The marbling is a bold statement, but piped designs and sugar flowers would also add a merry touch.
