Earlier today, Leigh Taylor from White Designs joined Polka Dot Bride to talk about her tips for a great wedding. She also shared with me the video White Designs captured of Australian Idol winner and crooner Guy Sebastian who married his sweetheart Jules in 2008.

The couple took a decidedly “Memphis” theme to their wedding with Guy wearing a brown corduroy suit with burgundy waistcoast by Weave and Jules in a one shouldered creation by Master/Slave- her hair adorned with a bow headband.  The bridesmaids were dressed in individual creations- matching their own personal style also by Weave.

The reception was held at Sydney’s Luna Park Crystal Palace. Styled by Staging Connections, the wedding featured a black and white checkered dance floor, black goblets, succulents and the roof sparkling in white chiffon and chandeliers.

The wedding cake, in the shape of a guitar, featured Guy at the piano and Jules on a microphone and was created by Planet Cake

A wedding such as this was not without music- Guy penned a song called “Perfection” for his bride, which he sung amongst a flood of emotion. The couple performed their first dance to ” Spend My Life with You” by Eric Benet and Tamia.
