Brand new Australian website Portobello Bride launched on Wednesday! I know this site has truly been a labor of love for Kim but I am so excited bu her concept and what it will bring to the Australian wedding industry!

Wish Upon A Wedding is a brand new foundation in the USA designed to help terminally ill couples marry. Wish Upon A Wedding, with the help of volunteer wedding professionals grants a complete wedding to the couple after approval from their board of directors. Such a brilliant initiative and something all US wedding vendors can get involved with!

Lara Casey (editor of US magazine Southern Weddings) might be bringing her Make Things Happen workshop down under! The workshop has had great success in the USA. They need 15 confirmed workshop participants to bring it to Australia, so if you’re in the wedding industry and looking for a great workshop to attend, do leave a comment on her blog post here to make it happen!

Australian couture designer Johanna Johnson launched her online accessories store this week. Johanna creates such beautiful creations the store is a delight to look at! The store stocks everything from capes to veils!

The queen of inspiration boards Kathryn at Snippet & Ink is teaming up with Bonnie Tsang and  Greys Likes Weddings to turn one of her beautiful inspiration boards into reality. Vote for which once should be converted here.

Today we’re launching our first ever reader survey! With all of the developments we have planned for Polka Dot Bride this year, we want to make sure we know who our readers are and what you would most like to see on our site.

The survey is completely anonymous (except the last question to enter our Baci Chocolate competition) and we really appreciate any piece of feedback you can give us! Big or small, we’ll thicken our skin, pull on our gumboots and get into the thick of finding out what you like and don’t like, where the gaps are, and what we could do better. Visit the survey here.
