Keira Knightley’s brilliant green dress from new release movie Atonement has been voted ‘The best film costume of all time’ in a poll by Instyle and Sky Movies.
I’m surprised to see the bias cut, backless silk gown beat Marilyn Monroe’s Seven Year Itch Dress but perhaps this season’s lust for jewel colours and greens set the trend?
These green bouquets from theknot would look gorgeous if you used the shade for your wedding

Loving this frock from Wheels & Doll Baby, called Suppa Club ballet gown from their ‘Weekend At The Waldorf’ collection
While this lovely blogging mojo has been kept at bay thanks to a Christmas flu I will share you with another of my favourite things

I love Nancy! Faced with a less than perfect line under a gorgeous new dress recently I panicked, did a bit of google research and rushed to pick up her ‘Body Slip’. Perfect result! no bumps, no lumps (gee, I sound really attractive now) but just smooth ‘wow have you lost weight?’ look!
Nancy Ganz is the body shaping queen! I love the slip but she also makes camis, lace trimmed boylegs, shaping bands and a whole lot more. If you don’t already have support in your gown, or your bridesmaids feel like they need some help check out her range, it really works!
Nancy Ganz is available to buy online in Australia at Zodee but is available at most good lingerie shops.

There’s a whole notion of ‘being a princess’ on your wedding day and now Disney, along with designer Kirstie Kelly has brought it to life with a range of Disney princess inspired wedding gowns. For every Disney Princess (Cinderella, Ariel, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Belle & Jasmine, a gown has been created! For the bride who loved ‘The Little Mermaid’ the styles are sleek and fitted with a mermaid line. There’s the full gold ball gown of Belle and the flowing goddess style gown of Jasmine.
There’s even a range of bridesmaids (called the ‘maidens line’ in luscious colours. The fuchsia of Jasmine, the sea greens and blue of Ariel, the rich berry red of Snow White and of course Cinderella in pale blue.

A line for flowergirls is expected to be launched this month!
Unfortunately there are no Australian stockists at the moment, so you can either order it from an international stockist or beg your local bridal stockist to try and get them here! You can see the full line at the Disney Bridal Website

Well it’s another year another moment that stops that nation. The Spring Racing Carnival is well and truly underway and tomorrow brings the big day- The Melbourne Cup!
I particularly love this time of year for the fashions- the girls who get it oh so wrong and oh so right! It’s also a great time to shop for wedding accessories. Gorgeous spring style dresses for bridesmaids are in abundance as are fascinators and everything girly. Derby Day is traditionally black and white, so I’m looking forward to seeing the colour of the ‘big’ day

The winner of Derby Day Fashions on the field wore Collette Dinnagin

The first night of fashion week in Sydney last night has shown a wealth of vibrant colours for next winter. (this year known as the ‘transeasonal collection’)
I love Alex Perry, he does the most amazing corsets in his gown and can make any girl look stunning. His bridal gowns are gorgeous too!

Next winter will surely bring the return of rich colour palettes to the bridal world too. Bridesmaids in jewel purple with accents of cherry red. Hues of muted gold mixed with beaded black long gowns. Beads, sparkles and flowing fabrics seem to be the style of many designers and with black being a classic colour I’m sure many brides will go for this option.
