I was waiting until the professional photos were released before posting about the recent nuptials of Ellen DeGeneres and Geelong born and bred Portia De Rossi
Portia wore a pink ballgown style gown with a halterneck, while Ellen opted for pants and a flowly shirt. Both wore designs of Zac Posen
The couple wed at their home in an intimate ceremony with only 19 guests, sitting on pillows and officiated by their close friend, Wayne Dyer. The reception followed with a vegan meal and vegan red velvet wedding cake.

The wedding carried a lot of personal touches- Ellen’s mother hand-calligraphed the place cards and each guest received a vintage handkerchief before the ceremony.
They danced their first danceĀ to “Ribbon In The Sky” by Stevie Wonder. Portias enagement ringfeatured pink diamondsand with their diamond wedding rings, was designed by Neil Lane.Photos courtesy of The Ellen DeGeneres Show and People
Ah, the first winner of Australian Idol has finally walked down the aisle (our international might remember his curly afro from the one and only World Idol!)

Guy wed his childhood sweetheart Jules in Cardinal Cerretti Memorial Chapel (coincidentally where Nicole Kidman also wed) on Sydney’s North Shore.
A reception was held at the Crystal Ballroom Luna Park and Jules wore a gown (rumoured to be worth $10,000) designed by Master/Slave while Guy wore a brown velvet suit. Jules was flanked by six bridesmaids.
The couple danced their first dance to Spend My Life With You by Eric Benet & Tamia. Afterwards, Guy performed a song written just for his new wife called Perfection.
Guy proposed to Jules during Christmas 2007 and along with a diamond ring (containing 140 diamonds) Jules was presented with a fully furnished holiday home near the beach, a four-wheel drive in the garage, and a Louis Vuitton handbag.

Oh I do like Brothers & Sisters and I am such a sucker for a TV wedding, so I recently enjoyed the episode where Kitty (Calista Flockhart) married Robert (Rob Lowe) in a beautiful garden ceremony.
I loved the colours (chocolate brown, white and lavender) and the relaxed style of Kitty with her beautiful dress and loosely swept up do.

I liked that Kitty chose not to wear a veil and carried a sweet bouquet of white and lavender roses.

Love the bridesmaids in different gowns! The chocolate brown with white features looked classic with a twist. (Lovely elegant hairstyles too!)

So after today’s spoiler by Cynthia Nixon (which don’t worry I’m not mentioning) about the forthcoming Sex And The City movie, I had to post this pic of the girls on Carrie’s wedding day.

Can’t wait! Now to con someone into seeing it with me. I promise there may be cocktails! (oh who am I kidding, there better be!)

I know this has down the rounds and almost everyone has seen it. But It makes me so excited for the new movie and I’m very much looking forward to ‘catching up with old friends’
Don’t watch if you don’t want to be spoiled!
