Bride + Groom sent over the sweet pink sweet buffet they created in their stall for the Dusk Bridal Fair a few weekends ago in Perth. I thought the little touches could give you great inspiration for your own reception.
Im going to let Tilopa and Jemma describe thier lovely setup!
“We set up a Candy Bar as one our displays and drew inspiration from Amy Atlas in the design! With Candy Bars proving to be so popular at the moment we thought it would be great to show brides + grooms some different ideas on what they might like to do. We used our Apothecary Jars + White Letters that we sell as well as some sweet tooth props! We had so much fun designing the display and we had lots of great feedback.”

“Our ornate birdcages were dotted around the booth, which proved the perfect accompaniment to our gorgeous new guest books we have in store. We’re really excited about these guest books as they look just gorgeous! We’ve had lots of requests over the past few months to find lovely guest books so we’ve worked hard to design a book which we hope will be well received.”

The girls said “Our other main display was a rustic table setting styled using our gorgeous tea light holders that we sell (pretty in pink!) as well as our jars we hire out + our fabulous black Tiffany Chairs. We designed name place tags for each chair which is a service we offer through our store. We had many girls commenting on them as they worked so well with the chairs. We also had a beautiful bouquet of peonies on the table which we sell in store – we love them as they look so real!
Finally our booth wouldn’t have been complete without our beautiful eyelet paper lanterns which were suspended across the booth. The lanterns are such a great inexpensive way to dress up an area and of course they can be used again and again!”

I am the biggest cheese fan, give me good bottle of wine, a block of cheese and it’s the perfect Friday night.
Cheese cakes are something I’ve noticed are popping up more and more as an alternative for sweet cakes. Big rounds of beautiful cheeses served with fresh figs, fresh fruits and beautiful crackers.Perfect for foodies and those who lack the sweet tooth, cheese cakes are a n
I stumbled upon the website of Sydney based Fromage To You recently- who create wedding cakes out of beautiful cheeses. The team (who is made up of four catering & event professionals, including the head chef at Quayside Restaurant) will create a cheese cake based on your style, feel and season of your wedding and use cheeses from Australia and around the world. Creating contemporary to rustic looks, each cake is tailored to the couple.
Fromage To You selects the right cheeses (so your cake doesn’t collapse), creates the cake for you and even deliver it- setting it up so it looks as glorious as the pictures below.

Check out the Fromage To You website for more cheesy goodness.
Valentine’s Day seems to be a bit of a last minute holiday for everyone this year, but I did love this limited edition chocolate flower from Sisko Chocolate for something a little different.

The instructions made me a little hungry too!
How to enjoy a Sisko Chocolate Flower:
- Break off a chocolate petal, hear the crisp snap of well tempered chocolate.
- Now gently rub between your fingers, helping to release the chocolate aroma.
- Inhale Deeply
- Place the petal to suit the contour of your tongue and press up to the roof of your mouth.
- Allow the chocolate to slowly melt and turn to liquid as you savour the distinct characteristics.
- You have just enjoyed premium Belgium chocolate in its purest and most seductive form.
Limited edition Valentine’s Day chocolate flowers are available from Sisko Chocolate.
It’s really exciting to me to see Australian businesses pushing really great ideas out (and allowing me to share them!). Today I get to share with you a beautiful dessert table inspired by the glamour of yesteryear.
Kristy at Imbue Weddings sent over today’s gorgeous table. With a colour palette of black and white, Kristy used milk glass sundae cups, tiered cake stands, black candlesticks, clear glass jars and black plates to tie it together. A big bunch of pink toned roses with individual blooms grouped along the table add softness. The lollies (or candy) in tones of black, white and a hit of decadent chocolate complete the display.
