RIP Yves Saint Laurent

Fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent passed away today in Paris aged 71.

Said by many to be the greatest fashion designer of the 20th century, he was born Yves Henri Donat Mathieu-Saint-Laurent, in Oran, Algeria, on August 1, 1936. His last collection was shown in 2002.

He is said to be the last of the group of designers who made Paris the fashion capital of the world- designers including Coco Chanel and Christian Dior.

Aussie Superstars: Antony Todd

Antony Todd has often been called one of the world’s best interior designers, and we can claim him as our own! Antony who now resides in new York styling homes, businesses and fabulous events.

Growing up in Melbourne (where it’s said he dropped out of uni!), Antony worked in stage production and flew the nest after a holiday to New York in 1992.

After decorating for New York house wives, he landed his first big gig In 2005 when he was booked to decorate the ballroom for the 50th anniversary of the United Nations by Bill & Hillary Clinton.

Still returning for frequent retreats to Australia, Antony’s career blossomed leading him to decorate events for Glamour Magazine, Elle McPherson, Sienna Miller and the editor of Martha Stewart Weddings own big day- Darcy Miller.

With a brilliant talent for florals, Antony believes in keeping things simple and stylish- but never boring! His interiors have graced the cover of Vogue (not least his own apartment!) and his use of colour has wowed many design fanatics.

Antony opened his own New York store in 2006 and has even released his own cutlery line! He also makes an appearance on Martha Stewarts Wedding DVD Collection and his work frequently appears in Martha Stewart Weddings.
