Eva Longoria’s wedding location- Saint German l’Auxerrios Church in Paris (Photo from SMH)

Well even though the 7th of July 2007 was a freezing day in most parts of Australia, brides who chose the date still made it on the news! (I did spot a number of thick fur capes chosen as accessories).

But in particular Eva Longoria’s wedding to Tony Parker was an eagerly awaited event which got a lot of the media talking.

For her civil service Eva chose to wear a pale pink Chanel dress and she did the official proceedings at the Paris City Hall.

For the church ceremony Eva and Tony chose Saint German l’Auxerrios church in Paris where fellow stars from Desperate Housewives, Jessica Alba and other notables dressed up in finery for the anticipated ceremony. The photos have been sold to a magazine (much to the disappointment of the hundreds of fans and media awaiting a glimpse). The groom was dressed by French menswear label De Fursac while Eva wore a mermaid gown with a scoop back made of silk, with a 1.5 metre train it was designed by Angel Sanchez. She wore jewels by H Stern.

Female guests are believed to have received 18 karat gold bracelets (Van Klef and Arpels designed) as gifts at the reception. Each bracelet featured a miniature mother of pearl clover charm from their Alhrambra design.

The bride and groom chose the Peter Field’s cover of Magnetic Fields – Book of Love for their first dance.
