I did it. I caved. I made my first etsy purchase. I’d love to share it with you but I fear the person receiving it may read this entry and discover my gorgeous find.
The problem is I haven’t left the site since, I’ve been searching random terms convincing myself this is a really great way of doing Christmas shopping- after all I can support small craftsters and give unique gifts (oh and they have Christmas cards too…lots of them..letterpress, hand drawn, much better than a mass produced one!)
I can quite easily justify this purchase given it’s the festive season and the season of giving. Is I haven’t found the perfect present for the males in my life yet though.
Who should I look out for on Etsy? Who are your faves?

I love etsy, but I can’t bring myself to buy anything on there because of postage costs. There is also madeit.com.au – it’s like a local etsy, but it’s only just started so there isn’t a huge variety of goods.

oh my goodness!!! I finally made my first (and several more after that) purchases for Christmas gifts this year. I love the idea of purchasing something unique and everything else that you said about supporting the people doing it. 🙂
