Kennis & Jimmy met at the local takeaway shop where they both worked. Jimmy knew Kennis was the one for him! He told Kennis he’d chase her. Thinking he was just being his humorous self, Kennis laughed it off. Eventually their boss took matters into his own hands and gave Jimmy Kennis’ number. Then the romance started…..

Kennis & Jimmy were married in Melbourne at historic Victorian mansion Quat Quatta. The wedding incorporated a traditional Chinese tea ceremony and was styled around lavender and lace which were incorporated into the day, from Kennis’ Maggie Sottero gown to the aisle runner.

The couple used photographer Benedict Morgan to capture their wedding day.

The ceremony was held in the courtyard of Quat Quatta. During the ceremony a mobile phone rang- it was the groom’s! A friend not able to make it to the wedding was ringing from Sydney to congratulate him.

The centrepieces were created by Kennis who used flowers from the markets and arranged them the night before the wedding. They were taken home by guests at the end of the night.
