Earlier today Kristel was lovely enough to share her wedding to Alex with Polka Dot Bride readers, now we get to check out all the fabulous details!

Kristel told me she chose Maloman Photographers as “His style is the opposite of traditional wedding photography. It has more of a fashion/ photojournalist feel to it. Very candid and creative.” She actually found him before she started dating Alex! Stephen also captured her sisters wedding, who was married just two months before.

Kristel and Alex both wore Converse sneakers embroidered with her wedding date. Kristel wore white, Alex wore black.

Alex and Kristel used Stickam to broadcast their wedding live over the web to absent family and friends, who were able to watch live through the couple’s wedding website. Their friends were also able to participate in a web chat, so Kristel and Alex could read their conversation later!

Alex read his wedding vows from his Iphone, while Kristel took a more traditional approach reading hers from paper!

Tables were decorated with simple white daisies.

Each table was named after one of the couples favourite artists- including Radiohead, The Beatles and MuteMath.

The polka dot wedding cake echoed the pattern on Kristel’s gown

The groom’s cake, a record player made by his grandmother – a professional cake maker, was a nod to Alex’s love of music.

The couple gave a CD of their favourite music to guests- featuring artists like The Beatles and Iron & Wine

Alex and Kristel had a very intimate feel to their wedding and made sure every detail reflected their personal tastes and love of music (and technology!).

Kristel’s polka dot gown suited her funky personality and fit her like a glove! Both Alex and Kristel wore customised sneakers, which meant their feet were ready for dancing all night long!

Alex’s old band provided the reception entertainment, friends designed the couple’s wedding monogram, put together invitations and were genuinely supportive of the couple during their engagement. Kristel’s mother helped her plan the Miami wedding from Dallas, Texas just two months after her sister’s wedding.

The couple used a pastor they have known for many years and Alex’s grandmother baked the groom’s cake. Kristel said “The party was so much fun. Amazing food, amazing music, amazing people to celebrate with. We feel really blessed that we were able to have such a perfect day.”

I love the personal touches the newlyweds incorporated into their special day- little things like shoes, Iphones and music made the day special and truly them!

Thank you Kristel & Alex and Maloman Photography for sharing this gorgeous wedding today!
