Ever since my first barn wedding post, I’ve had lots of requests for barns in Victoria. Here’s the start of (what will be!) an ever growing list!

The Gum Gully Barn

The Gum Gully Barn is located at Silvan South in the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges. The barn features two large fireplaces and can be opened up to the verandah in Summer. The barn can cater to 100 guests for a sit down dinner inside.

Yering Station Barn

Yering Station Barn, part of the Yering Station winery in the Yarra Valley wine region has a modern twist on the historical structure. It’s also home to the Yarra Valley farmers markets held the third Sunday of every month.

Inglewood Estate

Inglewood Estate is located in Kangaroo Ground, east of Melbourne. The property has a stone chapel and a reception venue converted from an old woolshed. Fully catered, the venue can fit 120 guests and features two open fires and a stage.

The Woolshed at Emu Bottom

The Woolshed at Emu Bottom Homestead is located in Sunbury. The venue features a large fireplace, red gum slabs and can seat 130 guests or 250 cocktail style. The smaller slab hut is also on the property and can seat 120.

Stones Of The Yarra Valley

Stones Of The Yarra Valley is located in Coldstream in the Yarra Valley wine region. On the property sits a stone chapel, converted dairy and converted barn overlooking the vineyards. The barn features upholstered chairs, long tables and sparkling chandeliers with in house catering. It can seat 150 guests.

Warrawong Woolshed

Warrawong Woolshed is a 19th century woolshed located in Melton. It offers panoramic views of the nearby Werribee river.

Collingwood Children’s Farm – The Barn

The Barn located on the grounds of the Collingwood Childrens Farm is a great choice for a couple wanting the barn atmosphere close to the city. It seats only 50 guests but can accommodate 120 cocktail style.

The Barn At Bickleys

The Barn At Bickleys is located in Goornong outside of Bendigo.

All these barns are located in Victoria, Australia.

I would love to have my wedding in a beautiful barn. Unfortunately I haven’t found any yet, and barns in Sweden tend to be really worn down…

Glen Harrow and Barn at Bickleys are no longer doing weddings. If there are any other suggestions for barn weddings in Victoria, it would be appreciated.

The Barn in Wallington has been my Dream Location for a wedding for a while now, but upon enquiring for a quote for a friend, they are $9200 + GST to hire the venue!!! Arghhhhh dreams shattered: See below for pricing and breakdown. (I searched EVERYWHERE to see online if anyone could tell me how much it was to hire)
      ___________________________________________________________________________

Hire of The Barn (Venue Hire Fee), from 3pm – 11pm* is $9,200 (GST not included.)

      This includes:
      • Beautifully hand-crafted wooden trestle tables with seating (up to 150 white folding chairs).
      • 20+ Bentwood brown chairs
      • Access to the property for your ceremony.
      • Use of The Barn and the immediate area around The Barn on the day of your function (including access for set-up of 2 days).
      • Toilets facilities (including disabled).
      • Use of the inside kitchen for bar use only.
      • Use of the Shepherd’s Hut – please ask us regarding usage.
      • Use of the property for photographic use.
      • Use of wine barrels for pre-dinner drinks, including market umbrellas.
      • Flag bunting for inside decoration.
      • Hundreds of fairy lights that are dotted around the property.
      • Use of ALL lounge furniture within The Barn. This includes numerous Chesterfields and leather club chairs.
      • Use of three country-style cement drink troughs at the front of The Barn (you will need to provide ice).
      • Use of the Wood Fire Pizza Oven (firewood is the responsibility of your Caterer and use may be subject to CFA restrictions).
      • Use of the inside fireplaces (firewood is included and use may be subject to CFA restrictions).

The quote does not include hire of linen, glassware, crockery or cutlery, flowers, band/DJ, portable cool room, ice, candles or any other lighting/decorative requirements you may have. At The Barn you get to bring in the Caterer of your choice, we only ask that they MUST bring a liquor license. Regarding numbers, our limit is 150 people.

        Hi Kate,
Why don’t you try Byrchendale. They don’t have a barn for the reception but instead have a barn chapel for the ceremony and an exquisite marquee for the reception. It has the same country feel that your looking for and your free to bring your own caterer and alcohol (providing they have a liquor licence) and decorate as you wish
