Dana and Raul

Today’s wedding is the colourful Mexico celebration of Dana and Raul! (this entry did go out yesterday but with the website propagating it disappeared!)

Dana and Raul met through a work friend and Raul knew it was love when Dana proclaimed her passion for the band The Pixies! The couple used La La Love You as their recessional song. The pair decided a destination wedding to Mexico was the perfect way to marry. Not only is Raul from Mexico City but they also really wanted to show their guests the real beauty Mexico has to offer.

Dana runs her own stationery design business Dana Cordova Design and designed the stationery, event materials and decor herself. The couple event set up a website to educate guests about the history of their chosen locations and to help them get the best out of the city.

Dana and Raul held a wedding week with guests celebrating for many nights before the wedding late night drinks and salsa dancing, a traditional Mexican meal in the groom’s home town with Marimba musicians playing and even persero rides!

Dana wore a Casablanca wedding gown while her bridesmaids wore black gowns they chose themselves. Hotel Camino Real provided a backdrop for the photos.
