Wedding News Roundup

Before I officially shut this computer down for the year (or try to anyway!), I have a few great things I wanted to mention!

We have posts lined up right through the break, so if you’re feeling like some reading or an escape from the craziness of the festive season, be sure to check in! I’ll be back “officially” on January 4th. So many exciting things are happening in 2010 I can’t wait to get started!

Bella Figura has unveiled their 2010 collection and my brand new Trendsetter favourites are up!

It was so difficult to choose I have to do a post on the designs that just missed out! I love the collection this year and you can also check out the favourites of other bloggers such as Anne from Perfect Bound, Kathryn from Snippet & Ink and Ami from Elizabeth Anne Designs. Sample packs of each trendsetter’s favourites are available in a keepsake box with ink and paper samples with the proceeds from the sale of each pack going to a chosen organisation supporting sustainability and the environment.

Speaking of favourites, Kathryn of online celebration store Pink Frosting recently invited me along with Lorraine from Not Quite Nigella to pick our favourite goodies from her store  in the “Expert Picks Boutique”.

My first selection is everything you need for a bridal shower in the garden! I was inspired by the Liberty print of the cupcake cups and thought of lace, butterflies, cupcakes and pretty things under the dappled shade of a tree! The little silver birds add a quirky touch. Real Weddings Magazine are launching a brand new website next month. You can sign up to be notified of the launch here. With all of the recent wedding magazine closures in the USA, I’m really excited to see what Australian weddings magazines doing brand new things!

I’m joining the fun bloggers of Antibride! The lovely Carolyn recently visited Australia and fell in love with the country. She loves our laid back lifestyle and has asked me to guest post on the Antibride blog once a month! Christened Aussie Bride, my first post goes live on the 30th of December, so be sure to keep an eye on Antibride!

A $10,00 Wedding posted her last post with some poignant thoughts. East Side Bride was her usual awesome self and wrote an ode to her.

Platinum Weddings is premiering their new season in the US on WeTV on January 3rd and Polka Dot Bride readers can view a sneak peek here. The video is only able to be viewed within the US, so if you’re in America please let me know what you think!
