Amy and Jeremy

The wedding of Amy and Jeremy is a completely beautiful thing to look at. So many pretty details, beautiful light and happy faces! Amy’s dress looks like a cloud and the style of these two is pure glamour!

Amy and Jeremy placed a huge importance on family and friends at their wedding. Amy says “Number 1 by far and away was all the people that traveled so far to spend the day with us. People came from overseas, up north, interstate. We have been living in Port Hedland for the past two years and we had people travel from really remote areas to be there ( which meant traveling with small children etc..) we just felt so spoilt to have all our friends and family with us. Because we live away having all our friends and family around us was really emotional. At the end of the day all the features were beautiful but the main thing was having Jeremy by my side, our bridal parties with us and all our family and friends with us.

I think that was why I was so relaxed on the day because I figured that the most important thing is that we were getting married, if you worry about the small stuff you won’t enjoy the day. I was lucky everything was perfect but if it wasn’t I would have got over it because that’s not really what the day should be about.”

The couple ordered stationery from Alannah Rose Stationery. Amy says “I love shoes, I know a lot of girls say that but I really do love shoes, I am kind of obsessed with them, Jeremy proved how much he knows when my sister presented me with a box from Jeremy on the morning of the wedding with a beautiful new pair of boots inside!!!” Amy wore Wittner shoes on her wedding day.

One of Amy’s special memories is the time spent with her bridesmaids. “The way my bridesmaids fussed over me. We spent two days together before the wedding. We went to see a movie called New York I love you (our honeymoon destination). They made me my favourite drinks, cooked me my favourite food, helped me with last minute details. We rarely get to spend this much time together because we all live so far apart. It was so touching and I loved it. The whole day was just such a laugh and so special.”

Amy and her bridesmaids had their hair and makeup done by Jo Simpson. Amy wore an Oscar De La Renta gown from Helen Rorigues. She says “It was the first dress I saw in a magazine ( after being told by someone that it would never suit me I tried on about 100 dresses and ended up buying that first dress thanks to Helen at Helen Rodrigues. She is an amazing woman and made me feel so special every time I went there. It was a bit of a mission organising it from Port Hedland ( WA) but Helen made it so easy. On the day I felt so beautiful and comfortable. Oscar De La Renta just makes the MOST beautiful dresses and I didn’t want to take it off!!” Amy’s bridesmaids wore different dresses in creamy colours.

Amy says “The flowers were so important to me, and they were everywhere. I loved the antique vases we used and the eclectic mix of flowers. We wanted the flowers to be elegant but not to “put together and match matchy” the florist (Rebecca Grace of Natural Art) used some really unique pieces like pomegranates, she also alternated the table arrangements to get the relaxed feel we were after.”
