Good morning lovely readers! Did you have a lovely weekend? Mr Polka Dot and I went out for lunch and I lapped up chicken ramen (my current winter addiction) What did you get up to?
It’s time for this week’s Vendor Of The Week! Each week we pick a member of Ms Polka Dot’s Directory and give you a little insight into the great businesses that support us!
This week’s Vendor Of The Week is Clare Day Photographic Design. Clare is a photographer based in Western Australian (Dayellup to be precise) but travels all over South West Western Australia to shoot weddings. Clare’s approach to a wedding day is that is should be full of “fun, sass and silliness”. She will laugh with you, cry with you and capture your personality in each frame. Her photographs are full of emotion, love and joy and beautiful to look at.
To get to know Clare a little better, we quizzed her five questions!
What is your favourite after five drink?
Champagne or Bourbon and Diet Coke!!
Your favourite weekend getaway?
Fabulous place down on Pemberton called Beedelup Cottages, feels like your in the middle of nowhere and perfect for midwinter breaks.
Favourite restaurant?
In the Big Smoke (aka Perth) would have to be Shilla’s BBQ Korean in East Perth, so so so good and fabulous atmosphere. In the great Southwest it would have to be The Goose in Bussleton which is just to die for.
What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?
Either at my kitchen table having pancakes made by my spunky hubby or at Dome in Bunbury soaking up the atmosphere while having Bacon and Eggs and a Vanilla Latte!
Your favourite wedding story?
MINE!!! I was sick with the flu, it rained most of the afternoon, I couldn’t speak louder than a whisper when saying my vows and coughed all through the wedding video, cried (happy tears) more in one day that I did for the entire year and I didn’t like my hair. BUT it was still one of the best days of my life and my hubby looked AMAZING! Just goes to show no matter how much you plan, how much you stress and how much things don’t go according to plan, its still your wedding day and will always be wonderful!
Oh…and I still cry at pretty much every ceremony I attend. I’m such a big wus!
