We recently decided to have a DIY challenge amongst the four Dandi ladies, and wanted the challenge to be one that was environmentally friendly, fun and useful! After throwing around a couple of ideas it was decided that each of us would go home and find a pair of old shoes that we no longer wear (everyone has some of those right?), and do them up to make them super cute and irresistible!

Caroline’s pair featured gorgeous polka dot fabric so we decided to share it here on Polka Dot Bride.  The shoes she started with, a nice pair of open toed, wooden heeled, red suede shoes, were well worn – they have seen a few parties! If you look at the before shot you can see a bit of damage to the front left shoe. Caroline sewed up these super stylish polka dot pleated frills to cover the blemish –  and add some sailor girl flair! These are now the cutest pair of pin-up shoes around!

Ms Polka Dot says: We are thrilled to welcome Dandi to our Made blog. And isn’t this the cutest project?
