Tara wrote to me a few months ago (patient Tara!) requesting an inspiration board for her wedding. She’s marrying at Nathania Springs (the photo in the top right of the board), a venue in the forest and wants to incorporate the old world country charm of the venue with greens and splashes of vivid purples.

My take on her style was to put a little secret garden twist onto it, little touches that make guests feel like they’ve entered another world. I see Tara in her dream ballgown with her fiancee in black tie, guests are entranced by the sweet green smell of the forest, hidden with secret areas of sweets, treats and fresh blooms.

Bringing cream into the colour palette lightens it up a little while still keeping the warmth,  the golden pears (the forbidden fruit), the lavender blossoms on the cake- this wedding of touches that overwhelm the senses.
