I’m so excited today to exclusively unveil the first shots of the Henry Roth Spring 2011 collection!

Henry is currently in NYC with his talented sister Michelle Roth and decided to shoot his new collection in “Urban Chic” mode under the Brooklyn Bridge- can it get any more urban chic than that? The Spring 2011 collection is now available in stores around Australia.

Henry says “We wanted to provide Polka Dot Bride with an international first of these gorgeous new pictures taken last week in Manhattan.  The gowns are now freshly arriving in our stores in Australia and the USA and the inspirations are actually quite rich with meaning and some insights that I am pleased to pass on.”

“The recent wedding of Kate Middleton reinforced many things to Michelle Roth (my sister who I work with) and myself.  Keeping things simple and striking seems to be the style message for 2011.”

Henry notes “If you notice each look is a striking setting allowing the gown to talk for itself and punctuating it with one item either one piece of jewellery or one accessory that makes a bold statement that does not have to be overdone.”

“It would appear that brides around the world are choosing outdoors as an element for their wedding celebration.  There is something really striking about the feeling and the emotion and the passion that can be conveyed and so we escaped from the studio shoots of old wanting to create something strikingly classic and sophisticated” says Henry.

“We wanted to use really urban and at times almost gritty landscapes and textured backgrounds against our super feminine and sophisticated gowns to add drama to the contrast and evoke romantic images that are not just beautiful but have a certain emotion and warmth to them.”
