Nat and Jez

Do you remember the sweet engagement shoot of Nat and Jez? I’m so thrilled today to be able to share their sweet and beautiful wedding day! Nat and Jez were married on a private property just outside Glenorie, Sydney on one of the hottest days of the year! I’m enchanted by the way the couple pulled their personalities into the wedding – from the suspenders Jez wore to Nat’s daisy chain and very special wedding gown.

Today’s wedding was shot by Amanda Thorson of Thorson Photography. I love Amanda’s soft, gentle approach to photography. She seems to get the best out of the couple she photographs while really relating to them. Film maker Edwina Wright filmed the wedding day.

Nat wore a family heirloom wedding gown. Jez says ,”Nat’s gown was home made, the dress was worn by the Nat’s mother and originally made by her grandmother. The dress was re-designed and remade by the bride’s mother using the original dress and some new French lace.” Nat paired it with Witchery shoes.

The groom wore an outfit from Hugo Boss.

The freesias and lavender blooms used throughout the day were purchased from The Flower Man.

The couple held their wedding at Nat’s father’s property. The day turned out to be one of the hottest on record for the summer!

Music during the ceremony was played by Paul Liao. Nat says “The memory that stood out for me was when Jez picked me up during the kiss. I really wasn’t expecting it & it was amazing!!!”

Jez says, “We planned the entire wedding themselves with some help doing crafty things and cooking from our friends and family.”

Nat’s second favourite memory from the wedding day was the fairy floss.

Congratulations Nat & Jez! Thank you for sharing your story with us today on Polka Dot Bride! Thank you also to Amanda Thorson of Thorson Photography for sharing today’s photographs with us!
