It’s time for our Friday morning ritual of wrapping up the content from our specialty blogs and the wedding world this week! This week was such a busy one, filled with sad news, adventures and surprises. I’m hoping next week is a little calmer in my world.

Around the wedding world this week…

Amazing Melbourne cake designer Cake Face has opened her shopfront! Located at 6 Claremont Avenue, Malvern the shop is open by appointment only for consultations. (But there are beautiful cakes in the windows 24/7 for you to drool over!)

Two lovely Perth ladies have launched a gorgeous wedding e-magazine! Smitten magazine came out last month and is packed with gorgeous Australian wedding inspiration. There’s real weddings, styling inspiration, expert articles and it’s all pulled together in a beautiful, stylish way! Worth reading with your next cup of tea!

Photographer Brent Lukey has launched a brand new wedding music website. Dubbed a “Celine Free Zone”, Great Wedding Songs is full of music choices for every part of your wedding day. Each song links straight to iTunes so you can easily purchase what you love!

Want to be on the world’s only wedding podcast network? The Wedding Podcast Network would love to hear from Polka Dot Bride readers for consideration for their  Newlywedcast show on Wedding Podcast Network. They’re looking for recently married couples (within past year) to email Holli at [email protected] and submit a brief synopsis describing highlights of their wedding planning experience.  What made your wedding extra special – culture? rituals? traditions? personalized how? theme? destination wedding?  The show is an opportunity to share thoughts about their wedding planner, photographer, videographer, venue, flowers, food and beverage selections, music, attire, inspiring websites/magazines and whatever else they deem important to help others plan their special day. When your feature is recorded, you can also retell your personal love story – how you met and got engaged.

The interview will be recorded via Skype and gives you a chance to reflect and reminisce about your wedding day!

Photographers Woodnote Photography are flying South for the winter. Woodnote is made of up husband and wife duo Caroline and Jayden. The couple only moved from Melbourne where Jayden’s family lives four years ago and hope to live here again permanently soon! In the meantime, Australians can book Woodnote for their weddings! Their next trip to Melbourne will be from Nov. 2-20, and then the following trip is scheduled for January and February of 2012.  They’re flexible with dates and distances, so do check out their website and contact them for more information!

Finally, our video this week comes from Motion Art Cinematography who shared this one with me awhile ago.
