Good morning Polka Dot Bridettes!

It feels rather splendid to be welcoming in the week with a peek at our beautiful new Ms Polka Dot’s Directory! To call a website beautiful may be a tough call but I know first hand the blood, sweat and many tears that have gone into crafting a directory that functions beautifully – so I’m a little tickled pink to show it off!

We’re so lucky to have the support of amazing vendors who understand our vision and what we love to do – they’re all ready and waiting in the directory to help you plan the wedding that is just right for you and your partner. From amazing photographers to talented florists– there’s plenty of fantastic vendors to help you out and we’re adding more constantly!

Pouring over the pages of this week’s vendor of the week’s website is a little like curling up with a cup of hot chocolate. The images of Milque Photography are dreamy. They have a sense of fun, a sense of not taking themselves too seriously- but there is nothing missed from the stories they tell. No lost moments because of props and quirky looks. They just add to the moment. It’s all there and it’s beautiful.

Your favourite wedding story?
I have sooo many stories to tell but I would have to say the most romantic Wedding I have ever photographed was Teresa & Billy.
They had been boyfriend & girlfriend for 23 years! (since they were 14) and had spent most of their lives traveling the world together.
Now that they had finally decided to settle down with William their 4 year old they decided to get married at a little Chapel at Sanctuary Cove on the Gold Coast.
The day was full of little surprises which I had to be in control of – lining up the photoshoot, to being at the right place at the right time for the next surprise. From a cruise in a luxury yacht to a solo bagpiper at sunset, then fireworks over the water in the evening.
But it wasn’t just all the physical things they had organised, there was just this beautiful energy between them and the way they looked at each other. So much love and respect that I must admit I had to hold back the tears welling in my eyes.
