Sara & Matt

Sara and Matt chose a gorgeous Yarra Valley venue for their Autumn wedding, a splendid affair honouring their love and their family – all planned from the UK!

Sara and Matt have a classic love story – they met at work and got together at their work Christmas party! Of their wedding day Sara says, “I loved celebrating with family and friends.”

Wedding photographs are by Lucy Spartalis Photography. Lucy has such a fun and happy way of capturing her photographs, while still keeping a very classic vibe.

Sara and Matt ordered their stationery in the UK using Paperchain Wedding Stationery Lindy Hartley styled Sara’s hair and makeup.

Blooming Brides created the mauve and purple bouquets and floral arrangements.

Sara wore a gown from Pronovias London shoes Perdita and jewels from Swarovski .

Sara and Matt held their wedding ceremony at reception at Stones of the Yarra Valley.

Sara walked down the aisle to “All I Want is You” by U2, an instrumental version played by Sam Boon on the piano.

Sara loves “The happiness that comes with knowing we’re officially a Mr & Mrs.” Sara and Matt’s ceremony was performed by Rev. Ian Porter.

Of their photographer, Sara says “Our photographer Lucy Spartalis, was recommended to us by a friend in London who taught her. We Skyped and saw some of her work on her blog and loved it! She didn’t disappoint, and captured so many beautiful images, the photos act as a story book of our day.”

Sara and Matt’s baby daughter Charlotte ended up providing a funny story for the day. Sara explains “We were all introduced to different tunes when we entered the reception, songs or music that had significance. Our daughter Charlotte was supposed to come out being held by my sister in-law to Isn’t she Lovely by Stevie Wonder… There was some confusion with the music and she ended up coming out to The Final Countdown by Europe! Not quite the same impact, and it did leave a lot of people wondering what that song choice was all about.”

A cupcake wedding cake was made by Sophisticakes of Melbourne. Sara says “Our first dance was shortly after we were introduced in the reception, to get people celebrating with us early. It was to This Old Love by Lior.” Brandon Burns kept guests dancing all night long.

Congratulations Sara and Matt! Thank you for sharing your wedding with us! Thank you also to Lucy Spartalis Photography for sharing today’s photographs!
