Good morning Dotties! Did you have a lovely weekend? Some of us have the luxury of not working today (in which case, put your feet up and delve through our archives!) While others, are hard at work! We have plenty of wedding inspiration in store for you this week so sit tight!

Let’s kick it off with a peek at Ms Polka Dot’s Directory

I love to give a big round of applause (randomly, in my office) to the members of Ms Polka Dot’s Directory! They are incredibly lovely talented people and their support helps support us in writing six different sites for you every single week. Are you looking for  gift registries, flowers, stationery & paper goods, venues or even cakes ? Check out the directory to see who might be the wedding vendor that fits your vision!

Long time Polka Dot Bride readers know I am big fan of wedding coordinators! The idea of not rushing around on the day of your wedding to set up, perfectly suits a stress bead like me! So this week’s vendor of the week, Sydney wedding planners Iridescent Weddings is a delight to introduce to you! Iridescent Weddings offer a number of different, packages to suit your wedding needs. From day of coordination through to doing absolutely everything. They can manage your budget, your suppliers, your venues, your RSVPS, book accommodation for your guests, and most importantly, give you advice!

We asked Kelly from Iridescent Weddings five questions in five minutes –

What is your favourite after five drink?

Espresso Martini – although this is my favourite after 10 drink…

Your favourite weekend getaway?

As we live in Sydney, I love going up to the Hunter Valley for our weekend getaways. Tom’s family has a property up there on the Hunter River, only 25 mins from the famous Hunter Valley Vineyards. My favourite time of year to visit is January. When its 45 degrees on the balcony, in the shade, there is little better to do, than sit back with family, drink chilled Sav Blanc and enjoy the sounds of nature.

Favourite restaurant?

A little taverna tucked into Kamari Beach, Santorini.

What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?

Home made waffles with banana and maple syrup.

Your favourite wedding story?

For years I’ve always believed that love can ‘last a lifetime’. Its a notion that just always seemed to be there, but when I started to think about my favourite wedding story, it made me reflect on the relationships that have helped shape who I am. My best friend’s parents have one such relationship. They were young when they met, both teachers at the same primary school. They simply clicked. Within 3 months they were engaged and 3 months later they were married. The amazing part to me, was not only the speed that they were engaged and married, but the way they still look at each other, how they talk to each other with adoration and how they are idolised by their children. All this after more than 30 years of married life.
