Kristin & Robert

I love when couple’s use their engagement photographs to show something that is important to them, the way they live, the way they are, the way they love.  Robert’s parents own the farm on which Kristin and Robert held their engagement session. The cold, fog and gloom only made for more beautiful photographs.

Kristin and Robert’s photographs come to us from Alexandra Hunt Photography. Alexandra tells their story “Perhaps she never dreamed that she’d end up marrying a British farmer, but self-proclaimed “city girl” Kristin fell head over heels for Robert, and when he proposed one sunny July morning over breakfast, she didn’t hesitate before saying “yes!”

Robert and Kristin’s session was held on dark, gloomy, pouring-rain-I’d-rather-be-inside-with-hot-cocoa sort of day. Nevertheless, we pressed on, and held their session outdoors on the family farm. We shot in a misty field ringed with shadowy trees, by the faded aqua barns, by a grain silo, horse trailer, and tractor barn. Umbrellas, wellington boots, and a couple of the cutest piglets you’ll ever see (Robert’s family raises rare purebred pigs) completed their unique session.” Kristin and Robert married on St Patrick’s Day in British Columbia.
