Heidi and Adam

I love heading up to the beaches in Sydney, Manly Beach is always a favourite and the meandering drive up the coast always sends my mind wandering. Today’s celebration starts in Manly and moves to Palm Beach soaking in the full magic of the area.

Heidi tells their story. “I noticed Adam at a seminar, and boldly asked him out by email.  He responded with a single red rose delivered to me saying ‘yes.’”

Photographs today are by Deus Photography who has captured such beautiful photographs of Heidi and Adam’s wedding day.

The wedding had a soft colour scheme with the bridesmaids wearing baby pink gowns by Zimmerman and the groom wearing a cream Versace suit with groomsmen in grey Oxford suits.

Heidi wore a Pronovias gown and carried a bouquet of white blooms.

Heidi and Adam were married at Ceretti Chapel Manly.

Heidi remembers, “The car ride with my dad to church was very special – being able to thank him for everything he has done for me, being an amazing father, and his help with the wedding. Knowing my dad was so proud and happy for me marrying Adam.    We were both getting teary whilst waiting out the front of the church and hearing the entrance music.”

Heidi’s sister not only helped plan and style the wedding but helped Heidi create much of the paper treats for the wedding. Heidi remembers “We made name tags, invites, seating plans and decorations – all done by my maid of honour / interior designer sister.   It meant a lot to be surrounded by personal touches throughout the day.

I loved my sister being with me through all the planning, and then knowing she was there with me for the whole day – getting ready, at the altar, every part of it.  Also knowing I could totally trust her judgement with things like flower arrangements and jewellery and the small touches as I was living in Darwin and trying to organise the wedding in Sydney!”

Heidi walked down the aisle to “Now We Are Free” by Hans Zimmer from the Gladiator soundtrack.

Heidi loved the ceremony. She remarks “The beautiful ceremony at Ceretti Chapel – our priest helped make it a very spiritual, symbolic and meaningful ceremony where Adam and I could connect and become present to our commitment.”

When there is a wedding one needs cake! Heidi remembers “Immediately following church we moved next door to rooms in the International College of Management venue for cutting of cake and prosecco!  This meant we could socialise some more with guests, and that guests got to actually enjoy and eat our beautiful cake.  This part of the wedding was meant to be in the Gardens outdoors however the heavy morning rain meant a move indoors.   We didn’t mind though as the room had a beautiful large balcony overlooking Manly Beach and northern beaches.”

Of their photographers, Heidi says “They came recommended by a friend and were very professional and non-invasive which I really appreciated. We absolutely love our wedding images, they really captured all the beautiful moments across the day.”

Heidi and Adam held their reception at Barrenjoey House, Palm Beach, Heidi recalls “We couldn’t think of a better place for our reception, in the relaxed town of Palm Beach, where we could see the sunset over the water from our tables.  The food is always lovely and the restaurant has a rustic, intimate feel to it.   The accommodation right upstairs was an added bonus for our guests’ convenience.”

For their first dance, Heidi recalls “Our first dance was to Franki Valli and the Four Seasons “I Love You Baby”… sung by my beautiful and talented cousin Amber Lawrence which made it really special.”

Congratulations Heidi and Adam! Thank you for sharing your wedding day with us! Thank you also to Deus Photography for sharing today’s images with us!
