Michelle and Kurt

Maleny is always such a picturesque backdrop for a wedding and today’s celebration of Michelle and Kurt is not short of elegance set against the beautiful Sunshine Coast hinterland.

Kurt and Michelle met six years ago when Michelle’s job in advertising led her to work with Kurt’s company.

The beautiful photographs today come from Nick Evans Photography who has captured Michelle and Kurt’s day with some breathtaking photography.

Michelle chose a gown from Karen Willis Holmes and paired it with gold shoes by Jimmy Choo. The bouquets in shades of cream and lavender were styled by Wedding Flowers in Maleny.

Kurt wore a suit from Canali while his groomsmen wore suits from Roger David.

Michelle and Kurt held their wedding at Weddings at Tiffany’s, Maleny . Michelle explains “Weddings at Tiffany’s in Maleny is a stunning Queenslander with a breathtaking view of the Glasshouse Mountain and beyond. The property has just been renovated under the keen eye of proprietor Kelly Tilse and a beautiful chapel has been added. This was a huge draw card for us, to have a weather proof chapel with an amazing view on-site. It meant we could have the whole in event in one location.”

Michelle walked down the aisle to “She” by Elvis Costello.

Michelle remarks “It was the most perfect day from start to finish shared with 120 of our wonderful friends and family and made possible by the best group of suppliers.”

Michelle’s bridesmaids wore navy gowns from Saba.

Of their photographer, Michelle says “Nick was fantastic to deal with right from the outset. He made the whole process fun and knew exactly what we wanted. We are absolutely blown away by the shots he took. They are exactly what we’d wanted, natural shots of us that captured the beauty of the venue and lots of editorial style photos of the event itself, the speeches, the dancing and all the fun.”

Guests were invited to snap photos as they entered the reception. Michelle explains “We wanted our family and friends to contribute to something we could keep so we made a frame and strung it with a name tag for each guest. We asked them to take a polaroid photo of themselves during the night and replace their name tag with the photo. The photos are fantastic and we managed to get a picture of every single guest! Plus a load of fun extra shots.”

Guests received paper bags filled with lollies.

For their first dance, Michelle says “Kurt picked ‘Beyond the Sea’ by Robbie Williams. He has always been a fan of Bobby Darin. We only practiced the waltz a few times, but it went off without a hitch on the night.”

The wedding cake was created by Cake Designs.

Congratulations Michelle and Kurt! Thank you for sharing your wedding day with us! Thank you also to Nick Evans Photography  for sharing today’s images!
