Johanna and Urban

This beautiful, sweet Swedish wedding comes to us today from photographer Annevi Peterson who has captured such romance and intimacy in her photographs.

Johanna tells the story of her and Urban’s love. “We met 15 years ago at a summer job. Urban was delivering newspapers Sunday mornings and he was to teach Johanna the route to take over.

We still love each other as much as we did then. To get married now, when we have two kids and are in the middle of life, feels just perfect!”

Johanna and Urban held their wedding at Möja Värdshus. Johanna explains “Möja is a beautiful island in the archipelago of Stockholm only 1.5 hour trip from where we live. We stayed at Möja Värdshus for the weekend and were married on the bare rocks by the ocean. Möja is an island in the archipelago of Stockholm Värmdö and can only be reached by boat. The sailing culture is essential in the local community. “

Johanna wore a short lace dress from Monki with yellow sandals from Swedish Hasbeens.

Johanna describes the day as, “A beautiful day in the archipelago filled with sunshine, laughter and lots and lots of love!” Urban wore a suit from Tiger of Sweden and shoes from Vagabond.

Johanna remarks, “We love spending time at the ocean and the archipelago, so Möja was just the perfect place for us to get married. We stayed there for the whole weekend, which also made our wedding very peaceful and memorable.”

Of their photographer, Johanna says, “We had a small family wedding with only the closest family and Annevi immediately felt like one of the bunch. She is a warm and wonderful person and a fantastic photographer. The pictures were just wonderful and will become such a memory for life.”

The bouquets were by Charlotta’s blommor, but for Johanna’s hairpiece, she remembers, “We picked wild flowers and my sister made a hair garland of the flowers.”

Johanna says “We wanted our wedding to be very personal, calm and peaceful. We wanted to focus on the wedding and to spend this special day together with our closest family and especially our kids that were very excited about the event. That’s why we decided to keep it simple and instead have the party some time later on.”

Johanna recalls, “Our official Helena Valentin was wonderful. She held the most personal, fun and intelligent speech at the ceremony.”

Johanna notes, “Our daughters sang to us during the ceremony – so sweet and breathtaking!”

The ceremony had some extra special touches, Johanna remembers. “We had a sand ceremony where we mixed sand in a bottle. The sand represented us as individuals, which together shaped a unique pattern in the bottle and impossible to separate from each other again.

We had also written (love) letters to each other that we switched during the ceremony. We read them when we were alone later that night.”

Guests ended the day with a close intimate meal together.

Congratulations on your marriage Johanna and Urban! Thank you for sharing your wedding day with us! Thank you also to Annevi Peterson for sharing today’s images!
