Dave and Stephanie

My fiancée, Dave proposed in Feb 2012 on the Williamstown pier in Melbourne’s West. The pier has always been a special place for us since our first date there back in April 2009. There we were, huddled in the cold with a huge blue blanket (which features in the shoot!), waiting for the sun to rise. This was a product of a very early morning Google chat conversation that resulted in the coy suggestion of watching a sunrise together.

The spirithoods were a fun addition to the shoot. Dave equates pandas with being Asian (don’t ask!), so he got me a panda spirithood on a whim one day. It has since become a permanent feature particularly in this cold.

We were not planning on having a pre-wedding shoot, but my sister’s friend very generously volunteered. Joni Anderson  is a brilliant photographer and made us feel so at ease during the shoot. We had a blast!

Pictures were taken at Williamstown Pier and Williamstown Botanical Gardens. Our wedding date is set for the end of the year at the Melbourne Museum. Dave can’t wait to take pictures with the dinosaurs!

Ms Gingham says: This is one of those shoots where you can see the joy radiating of the faces. You can tell that Stephanie and Dave had a blast!

Stephanie says: “I’m an English teacher so my daily life revolves around preteens and hormonal adolescents who say the craziest things. When I’m not marking, reporting, planning lessons or being a Grammar nazi, I love running and keeping fit, brunch-ing it up in Melbourne’s fantastic little cafes, nattering with my friends and having way too many movie marathons.”
