Recent bride Danielle (of Danielle and Johnny’s Romantic New Zealand Wedding) offers this advice to future brides to be “Firstly, I would say be realistic with your budget. You are likely to go over budget (if not, definitely will go over budget) and spend some time thinking about what elements will represent you as a couple. For me, my dress was very important to me (being a designer) and Johnny was fine with that. ”

“Talk about what things you would perhaps like to spend a little more money or focus on. Spend time researching ideas that will reflect your style and if you have the time, try to DIY some parts of your wedding. This can not only be great time to spend with your bridal party and family, but there are fantastic ideas around and inspiration. Not to mention, this can save you money!”

“Final thing- use a PA system for your ceremony, there is nothing worse than not being able to hear.”
