Tash and Andrew

There is a lot of soul when it comes to an intimate wedding – the small guest list allows for a sense of quiet, a sense of tranquility without the hullabalooo of larger weddings. Tash and Andrew chose to celebrate with only 40 guests at a country guesthouse outside of Byron Bay. Their day? Quiet, beautiful and ‘them’.

Tash tells of how they came to be. “We met 10 years ago, at a mutual friend’s 21st birthday party. It was love at first sight. We went on a date and have been together ever since!”

Byron Loves Fawn Photography captured the beautiful, graceful moments of today’s wedding in a stunning way.

Tash and Andrew chose Deux Belettes for their wedding with their guests flying from afar a field as Germany and Switzerland to attend the wedding, all gathering for a welcome dinner in Byron Bay the night before the wedding.

Tash chose a beautiful Anna Campbell gown from The Babushka Ballerina.

For the processional, Tash chose, “Lisa Mitchell – Clean white love. Probably not really appropriate but I LOVE the song. It’s fun and bubbly and different.”

Tash describes the day as, “Romantic, elegant, rustic, intimate, a neat tidy day with 40 of our closest friends and family.”

“The ceremony was in the front garden of Deux Belettes under a beautiful magnolia tree. Whilst we wandered the property to capture some amazing photos, our guests enjoyed canapés including a meze platter on the front lawn.”

The wedding cake was not the last dessert, Tash explaining, “The guests were treated to a surprise crepe station after dessert (wedding cake). The crepe station was set up at the side of the house underneath a blanket of fairy lights. Guests were treated to crepes served with – lemon and sugar, maple syrup and ice cream, strawberries and cream, chocolate, banana, mango etc.”

“The reception was held under the arch way, where all guests sat at one long table. ”

“I didn’t have a wedding planner, all vendors, decorations, menus etc were picked by myself. All styling including flowers, table decoration, bonbonnieres was made by myself, the bride.”

Of their wedding photographers, Tash remarks, “Kristie and Brett from Byron loves Fawn, are a very professional couple that made the day fun and captured the most amazing memories. They are naturally talented and make you feel so comfortable. I would highly recommend them to everyone!”

Of their first dance, Tash notes, “We nearly forgot!!!… We quickly put on our song of choice – Florence & The Machine “You’ve got the love” and danced under the stars.”

Congratulations on your marriage Tash and Andrew! Thank you for sharing your day with us! Thank you to Byron Loves Fawn Photography for sharing today’s wedding photographs!
