Carlie and Josh

A beautiful farm wedding seems jsut the ticket for today and it’s lucky that Carlie and Josh’s ticks all the boxes with it’s beautiful setting, romantic love story and plenty of lovingly made details!

Carlie tells how they met. “Josh and I had met a couple of times through mutual friends but it wasn’t until Josh invited himself to my birthday party that we really started to speak. I remember standing with a friend when I received a text message saying “thanks for inviting me to your birthday party” I had no idea who the message was from so I laughed it off and put my phone back in my bag. Much to my horror Josh had sent the message and was standing right behind me watching me ignore it. We have been together ever since.”

Michelle Fiona Photography captured today’s image sin her graceful beautiful style that I adore.

“My Dad is not a vendor but without him I could not have planned this wedding. Dad was there from picking the venue to collecting bottles on a weekly basis. Dad made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish and I can’t thank him enough because without him none of this would have been possible. He is a truly amazing man and wedding planner extraordinaire!”

“Mel at Sylvania Flower Studio for got me the only thing I wanted on the day “hydrangeas”, tied charms on my bouquet that held photos of very special people that were no longer with us. Having them with me was really important to me. Josh and I kept our vows to each other a surprise until the day making it such a special moment.”

Carlie chose a Collette Dinnigan gown with accessories by Anna Campbell and shoes from Christian Louboutin. Her bridesmaids wore navy blue  Anna Campbell gowns and accessories.

Carlie and Josh were married at Belgenny Farm. Carlie explains, “We had both our ceremony and reception at the gorgeous Belgenny Farm in Camden. The scenery at Belgenny Farm is gorgeous and fit perfectly with everything we wanted. The staff were fabulous and catered to everything that we needed, nothing was ever a worry for them and they were more than happy to set things up for us for the wedding. Everything about Belgenny Farm was very rustic and charming which is exactly what we wanted our wedding to be.”

For her walk down the aisle, Carlie chose ‘A Thousand Years’ by Christina Perri.

Of their photographer, Carlie says, “Michelle from Michelle Fiona Photography was by far the best wedding decision that we made. We fell in love with Michelle’s photos from the moment we saw them. Michelle made the day so fun and relaxed and we could not have asked for a more amazing person to spend our day with. Everything from our photos to the gorgeous package I received in the mail was just beautiful. Michelle captured every part of our wedding perfectly and her photos were just divine!”

“After our entree, our photographer Michelle snuck us out of the reception to take some more photos. This was a moment I will never forget as it was the first time Josh and I had been alone as husband and wife without hundreds of people around. I will forever thank Michelle for that wonderful moment and much needed break.”

“I did all of the decorations and props on my own. I spent a year collecting bottles, jars and doilies for all our centrepieces and was lucky enough to have a wonderful family that helped collect and decorate as well. Josh and my Dad helped me with all the hammering and drilling that went into the signs and windows for the guest seating and a few family meetings were called with a “BYO glue gun” notice.”

Faye Cahill Cake Design created the cake. ” Her gorgeous cake tasted like heaven!”

Of their first dance, Carlie says, “I think Josh and I spent our whole first dance trying not to laugh, we really struggled with the serious side of things when everyone was staring at us.”

Congratulations Carlie and Josh! Thank you for sharing your day with us! Thank you also to Michelle Fiona Photography for sharing your images with us!
