Ann & Nathan

Kristy Toepfer  captured today’s gorgeous engagement photos as two of Ann and Nathan’s favourite parks in Sydney – including the very special location where Nathan proposed. The photos have this incredible moodiness to them created by the cold grey skys and blustery wind. Bad weather is always my favourite for stunning photography.

Ann tells their story.”We met on a Friday night at a bar on King Street Wharf in Sydney. Nathan was out meeting up with some friends after a work dinner and I was out with some friends for a couple of drinks. We started chatting after one of Nathan’s friends tried to pick me up but failed miserably, so Nathan sat back and took full advantage of the situation. We chatted for a while, had a drink together and exchanged numbers. We went out on a few dates and the relationship blossomed from there… ”

Nathan says, “I love that Ann is so different from me, but we are still so similar. We complement each other in so many ways. She is beautiful, funny, fun to be around and very loving.”

Ann remarks, “I love that Nathan can always make me laugh. He is loving and selfless, he always puts me first and makes sure I’m always happy!”

“Every single day we have a new funny story. But it is only funny to us and probably super lame to other people. Another reason why we are so great together!!!”

Ann tells the proposal story. “Nathan proposed to me after to me after being together for a little bit longer than a year. He proposed the week before Valentines day because he did not want to propose on Valentines day, but the ring was burning a hole in his pocket. On the morning he proposed, he kept pushing to go on a picnic. I thought nothing of it because he’s always keen to make the most of a sunny a day. When we got to our favourite park, Nathan lay the picnic blanket down, got on one knee and proposed. I was so surprised and shocked because I had no idea he had been planning this for months, he even chose my ring on his own!!”
