Photographers Pavlina and Geoff Matt from Shy Fox Photography teamed up with Lilyvale Flowers, vintage store Adore Vintage, grabbed a bunch of fantastic antiques from Wooloongabba Antique Centre and set out to create a wedding inspiration shoot inspired by the Australian bush.

The lovely Pavlina tells us, “The main inspiration for this shoot was, unsurprisingly, the Australian bush. We wanted it to feel as though a young couple were eloping together on a whim, just throwing together a few little lovely details on a very tight budget. With that in mind, almost everything you see is second-hand or handmade. Our favourite elements are the bride’s dress, which is a vintage negligee from Adore Vintage , the “love” bottles, which were sourced from the Wooloongabba Antique Centre and the pinwheel place cards, which we made ourselves. ”

“As well as showing off our beautiful couple, we wanted to show off the beauty of the bush. The setting and the choice of flowers were key in pulling this together.  As well as showing off our beautiful couple, we wanted to show off the beauty of the bush. Lilyvale Flowers created the floral arrangements, using gum leaves, wattle, and tea tree flowers.

“To end the day, we decided to give our bride, who had previously told us that she’d love to do a trash the dress shoot, a bit of an adventure. So we had her wade into a lily pad-filled dam. Happily both Caitlyn and the dress came out none the worse for wear!”
